British photographer Jon Enoch’s The Candy Man was the overall winner of this year’s Pink Ladies Food Photographer competition.
The photo, taken on the streets of Mumbai, is part of a series of pictures of sellers displaying the sweets in various ways in the hope of attracting buyers.
“I am delighted to receive this award, it is an honor to be recognized in such a prestigious competition full of wonderful images,” said Enoch.
“The winning image was part of a personal project – a lot of time and thought went into capturing it, so it’s great to be recognized by such a esteemed panel of judges. Ever since I first saw the marshmallow seller Drawn to the shapes, colors and juxtapositions of sweets and urban environments.”
